FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - July 17, 2024
Washington, D.C. – The Arctic Defense Campaign is pleased to welcome William Marsh as the new Campaign Director. Marsh brings a passion for protecting America’s wild places, strong leadership skills, and a broad range of experience in climate advocacy and political campaigning to the Arctic Defense Campaign. As Campaign Director, Marsh will lead the strategy for a coalition of Indigenous partners, environmental organizations, and activists from across the United States to protect America’s Arctic from destructive oil and gas development. His most recent work was focused on building advocacy campaigns to protect our environment and fight climate change, and includes roles from Nature Conservancy, Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), and Climate Action Campaign among others.
Marsh joins at a critical time for America’s Arctic: A vast and wild region that is home to millions of acres of culturally and biologically rich land. Home to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and the Western Arctic Reserve, America’s Arctic presents an unparalleled opportunity to protect public lands on an unprecedented scale, fight climate change, and sustain the biodiversity that we all rely upon.
